Maharashtra on Thursday reported 755 new coronavirus positive cases and four deaths, which took the state's overall infection tally to 81,13,612 and the toll to 1,48,302, an official said. This was a drop from the 881 cases and five deaths reported in the state on Wednesday, he said.Of the new cases, the Mumbai circle led with 335, followed by 222 in Pune circle, 43 in Latur circle, 42 in Nashik circle, 41 in Kolhapur circle, 35 in Nagpur circle, 22 in Akola circle and 15 in Aurangabad circle, he said.
Mumbai reports 138 Covid-19 cases, one death, 289 recoveries
Mumbai on Thursday reported 138 Covid-19 cases and one death, which took the metropolis' tally to 11,48,640 and the toll to 19,722, a civic official said. On Wednesday, the city had seen 203 cases and two deaths, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official pointed out.Of the new cases, only 14 are symptomatic, the official added. Man held for HBT cases in Navi Mumbai, gold worth Rs 28 lakh recovered
Twenty house-breaking theft (HBT) cases have been solved with the arrest of a 45-year-old man in Thane district, a Navi Mumbai police station official said on Thursday. Police Commissioner Bipin Kumar Singh said these HBT cases were registered in Rabale and Khoparkhairane police stations. "Santosh Trimbak Dhanghav is from Kalwa. Demolition of fishing community's crematorium: HC summons Mumbai suburban collector
The Bombay High Court on Thursday summoned the Mumbai suburban district collector to court on September 19 over the demolition of a crematorium in Erangal beach in suburban Malad without giving a hearing to the fisherfolk who had built it. A division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Madhav Jamdar was hearing a petition filed by one Chetan Vyas raising concerns over unauthorized construction of a Hindu crematorium on the beach by the fishing community. The PIL claimed the construction was in violation of Coastal Regulation Zones (CRZ) rules.In 2021, the HC had directed for a joint inspection to be carried out there by the concerned officials from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA), the district collectorate and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
