The City of Huntsville is planning to redevelop its downtown corridor. The project will connect the downtown, Mill Creek and Lowe Mill communities with greenways and a suspended pedestrian bridge. These three areas are presently separated by two major state and federal roadways: U.S. Route 231 and U.S. Route 431/Alabama 53. The project also includes enhancements along Pinhook Creek to reduce flooding and improve the floodplain. The bulk of project funding is being provided by a federal Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant. The project is valued at $26 million. National Western Stock Show is planning to build the Western Stock Show Association Legacy Building in Denver. The four-story, 110,000-sq-ft building will contain an art gallery, a heritage center, administrative offices, a 10,000-sq-ft exhibition space and an outdoor terrace. It is being designed by Tryba Architects, and Saunders Construction has been chosen as the construction manager. Construction is expected to start in August 2023. Grand Communities Ltd. is planning to develop the Hampton Walk subdivision in Buck Creek Township. It will include 429 homes on 90 acres, including townhomes, duplexes and possibly a pool. CORE Investments Inc. is planning to construct On the Dot, a 16-story, 477,000-sq-ft combined lab, R&D and office building at 65 Ellery St. in Boston. It is being designed by Stantec, and Lee Kennedy Co. has been selected as the construction manager. Construction is expected to start in August 2023. The project is valued at $250 million. Netflix Inc. is planning to build the 59,713-sq-ft Mill Building 2 at ABQ Studios in Albuquerque. It has been designed by Dekker/Perich/Sabatini. Construction is expected to start in December 2022. The Beaverton School District is planning to build a new Beaverton High School. The project entails constructing a three- or four-story, 290,000-sq-ft school building. Construction will occur in phases while the existing campus is occupied. BRIC Architecture Inc. is the designer, and Skanska USA Building Inc. is the construction manager-at-risk. PCL Construction Services Inc. has started carrying out the Treetop Trail project at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. The project entails repurposing the 1.25-mile-long monorail into an accessible walking platform through the tree canopy. The project architect is Snow Kreilich Architect. Clark Construction Group LLC has begun rehabilitating the Activated Sludge Effluent Pump Station in Lorton. The project includes replacing six existing pumps, removal and replacement of seven cast-iron sluice gates and seven actuators, and removal and replacement of 14 valves and six actuators. 9/26 Catamount Constructors Inc. is seeking subcontractor bidders for the Avilla Berry Creek Highlands residential development in Georgetown. 9/27 Kendall Property Group is seeking subcontractor bidders for the Innovation Drive Apartment community in Middletown.
